Everyone jokes about how popular Subaru vehicles are in New England, but in reality we all know the truth: they are popular everywhere. From the mountains of Colorado to the busy metropolis streets of Montreal, Canada, the 2012 Subaru Impreza is ready to electrify those devoted Subaru enthusiasts. But, we at Heritage Volkswagen and Subaru know the Impreza will turn critics to new fanatics!
"The 2012 Impreza is also a good highway cruiser and adept at local roads," says Keith Griffin of The Boston Globe.
Coming to Heritage Volkswagen and Subaru in Owings Mills, Maryland, the Impreza sedan will combat the harsh streets of Philadelphia, or the high temperatures of Los Angeles with its 2.0-liter Boxer engine, which was originally used in 2011 Subaru Forester. The engine is quite unique as it's cylinders fire horizontally.
The 2012 Impreza's engine delivers 148 horsepower and 145 lb.-ft of torque. EPA-estimates rate it at 27 mpg city, 36 mpg highway. While the 2012 Impreza has a slightly smaller fuel tank than the 2011, the 2012 Impreza can still reach a highway cruising range of 523 miles on a single tank.
Hitting dealership showroom floors next month, the 2012 Subaru Impreza starts under $18,000, with 2.0-liter Premium Edition starting just under $19,000.
