The Volkswagen Routan minivan is coming back for the 2011 model year! As it shares running gears with the Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country, the 2011 Routan will get similar updates, starting with a retooled power train. The new Routan features a 3.8-liter Pentastar V6 engine matched with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Total power comes in at a strong 283 horsepower (hp) and 260 lb.-ft. of torque.

The VW Touareg Hybrid promises to give consumers V8 power with V6 fuel economy. The German automaker mated its gas engine with an electric motor, this results in an output of 380 horsepower and 428 pound-feet of torque - along with a 0-60 acceleration time of 6.2 seconds. This is up from the base V6 version with a 3.6-liter engine good for 265 pound-feet of torque and 280 horsepower.
